The Purissima Hills Water District (PHWD) recently completed the West Fremont, St. Francis Water Main Improvements Project to upgrade the water system in your area. The Project included the following improvements:

  • Replaced over 5,600 linear feet of existing cast iron (CI) water main with new cathodically protected ductile iron (DI) water main.
  • Installed 10 new fire hydrants.
  • Replaced 22 customer water and fire service connections.
  • Resurfaced over 70,000 square feet of roadway within the project limits with slurry seal.

The improvements enhanced available fire flows and reliability, strengthened drinking water system performance, increased system redundancy, and boosted seismic resilience along the District’s infrastructure. The District is committed to long term investment in their infrastructure and this project brings us one step closer to achieving a replacement rate of one percent of their water mains per year. The District and its Contractor worked diligently to complete this project prior to the Town of Los Altos Hills’ summer paving project while minimizing the impacts to Town Hall and Pinewood School.

We sincerely appreciated your patience as we completed this critical project.
