Ernest Solomon has lived in Los Altos Hills since 1979. Married, with two children who have long since flown the coop, he enjoys gardening, travel, cycling, and an occasional glass of wine.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the University of California, Berkeley (Class of 1959, Go Bears), and built a career as an engineering geologist. Much of his career has involved studies of infrastructure including dams, tunnels, highways, and other structures, with many of the studies for water districts and public agencies in northern California. He was first elected a Director of Purissima Hills Water District in 1996; then ran unopposed in 2000, and was re-elected in 2004.
